from Pretty rough texture for a children's rug... I was somewhat reluctant to buy this rug mainly because of the material. I thought it might be a little too rough. I ended up ordering it anyway because the color and pattern matched the exact look I was going for. If your screen is calibrated correctly, the color is true to the picture.Anyway, when I received the rug, the texture was surprisingly even more rough and uncomfortable than I had expected. It's truly annoying to sit on with shorts or even thin pajama pants- the wool material pokes the heck out of my poor legs. Babies are pretty resilient but I still wonder how it will feel on my kid's skin when she's crawling around. It seems pretty durable however I've yet to put that to the test. The cats seem to like it at least.Overall, if you're not too worried about having a prickly rug in your kid's room, then I suppose I'd recommend this. I will say though, that even with heavy items placed on all the corners for the past couple weeks, the rug still has yet to lay flat. Pretty annoying. In my opinion, this rug isn't worth the price.
