Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does Exactly What You Want Them To Do We bought these to go behind our more sheer curtains to give us the option of letting light in or not. They do exactly what you want them to do. They are a little stiff right out of the plastic but I washed them per the instructions and that took care of that problem. You may want a hook or something to hold them back when open but for the price and functionality, well worth it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's ok=) I think it's a great idea, but it's just not perfect. We don't have an extra deep window sill...very standard. We ordered the white, double rod w/bird finials (which are so cute) and then ordered the black-out drapery and the white ruffle drapery (for the double rod). Per the depth of the rod, the black-out drapery panels are too far out from the window and lots of light gets in around the edges (a lot). Also, it's very stiff. So if you wanted to open them and only let your super cute drapery show, it won't stay open on each shifts back to the center...and it's not pretty. I know...confusing. Essentially they are difficult to slide back and forth and they let light in on the double rod from LON.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stiff as a board These panels do block out a lot of light, but you can hardly move them on the rod! They're so stiff that once you tug them open, they just want to close again. Their stiffness also makes them awkward to tie back. Would not buy again.
