No contemporary female artist has captured the spirit of children’s folk music like
Elizabeth Mitchell. On Mitchell’s four outstanding CDs, she’s breathed new life
into classic folk songs and created several memorable new ones. It’s hardly a surprise
that Mitchell recently signed with the esteemed American recording label Smithsonian
Folkways, making her label mates with Ella Jenkins, Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger.

Ella Jenkins is simply a national treasure. Ella has been performing music and teaching
music appreciation for over 50 years, with over 30 recordings to her name. She’s
won countless accolades and awards including the prestigious Grammy Lifetime Achievement
Award in 2004. Ella has been called the “First Lady of the Children’s Folk Song.”
