Family favorite for Years I actually had my own Sophie as a baby and every baby in our family has had one of their own thanks to our French roots. Both my girls have their own and I always give Sophie out for baby gifts. I have never come across a baby who hasn't grown attached to their Sophie. This simple toy satisfies all five senses: contrasting colors and an identifiable face; a squeaky sound to attract attention; ears, horns, and legs (even nose and neck) to chew on; soft, smooth, and flexible for little fingers; even a distinctive (pleseant) smell! This toy will be around at least another 60 years. I recommend this to every mother! March 10, 2009

Must Have Teether Toy I recently bought this for my 5 1/2 month old daughter. She just loves it. I have bought all sorts of teethers and none of them compare to this one. Sophie the Giraffe stands out as top teether on our list. A must have for every new mom. It is the only teether that I have found that my daughter can actually get in her mouth to reach her back gums. The only problem that I have with this toy is trying to keep it away from our dog who just goes crazy when she hears the squeeky sound. I guess the whole family is happy with this toy.
