Excellent purchase! We were thrilled when our son managed to pick up the Winkel toy at 8-9 weeks. We thought he was brilliant, of course. He then began to play with the toy holding it in both hands and bringing it to his mouth at 10 weeks. He's a little over 3 months now and this is his favorite toy. Their little hands get caught (not in a bad way) in the soft rings at first, so they pick it up by accident. This probably gives them idea that their hands can do something! Another great thing about this toy is that it is softer than most. their hands are a little wild, so our son has picked up other toys and whacked himself in the face. That's horrible for a new mom to see. Hope this toy works for you too! February 25, 2009

No other teether will do! This toy is the best! My 5 month old can hold it in any direction, hevrarely drops it, and he can chew on it anywhere! He prefers it to Sophie the Giraffe- the winkle doesn't squeak, but it also lacks long legs to gag him! These are my new go-to gift! April 6, 2012
