"Night Time" might be Dan's most outstanding release. Sure, Dan sticks to his formula of combining folk and world music influences along with celebrity guest appearances. But each song is memorable and beautifully observed. From the classic "Pay Me Money Down" to the duet "Firefly" with Aimee Mann, Dan hits on all cylinders. Dan's duet with Lou Reed, "What a Wonderful World," is a gem for kids and adults.
