Rated 5 out of 5 by Mrsvandale from LOVE these adorable little characters! These were on back order when I went to purchase them but they were worth the wait! I bought them for my daughter to use in her dollhouse and they turned out to be a great alternative to regular dolls. They are an odd, charming bunch, all obviously hand painted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beck0321 from So adorable! These dolls are not only well made, but they are of excellent quality. The painted faces are adorable, they are super sturdy and can put up with all the banging from our daughter. Bought them to go with the cottage dollhouse, it has really opened up our daughter's imagination and helped her creativity a ton. Highly recommend this product!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by raqshank from Daring little family! We love these dolls. They are really beautifully made and look so darling just sitting on the shelf or in any play setting my girls put them in. They sometimes show up as friends in Cinderella's castle or Barbie's pets. We loved seeing each one's name on the bottoms. Really darling family set!

Rated 5 out of 5 by skyblufig from we love them! After reading some of the other reviews, I was somewhat hesitant to purchase these. We, however, were pleasantly surprised at how awesome these little dolls are. While I can certainly understand other reviewers' dismay at quality issues, we had *none* of those problems. I would also point out that these are described right in the "details" as HANDMADE, so of course they aren't all going to be exactly the same as the picture! They are, on the other hand, very cute and definitely not your average wooden doll family. My 6 year old digs them and so do I.

Rated 5 out of 5 by nodnancy from Fabulous Dolls! This one of a kind exclusive set of hand-carved, hand-painted dolls is inspired! Suzy Ultman (Hello Doll, Stitchin' Time Needlepoint kit, Suzy Shrinky Dinks) designed these dolls, and named them all. The names are painted on the bottom of each doll. They work beautifully in dollhouses, or on their own. They are each individually handcrafted exclusively for The Land of Nod. They are one of my favorite picks for 2013!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jessi3 from Cute little bunchThese wooden dolls are a cute set. You can definitely tell they are hand painted. So of course, the colors vary slightly from the picture. I would say they are a little less bright than shown online, but I am still happy with my purchase. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because they are a little pricey for what they are. I actually bought them to display on the dollhouse bookcase also from LON and they look great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by ptak from An illustration in wooden figuresMy two children each have a set of these. The wooden dolls are very cute in color, design, detail. I like this Illustrator's work and love the creative faces, features and names, in fact, the best part is a silly and surprising name written on the bottom of each, "Auntie," "Papoo," etc. I do keep them in a container with a lid, and treat them a bit like a special item. They have held up for almost a year, but a less careful storage might lead them to take more wear and tear, and some appear more fragile than others (the thin neck, narrow mushroom). Broken down, the price for each is not bad, but overall are pricey for a small set if you overlook their quirky hand painted appeal. They work great with our Plan doll house, and bright IKEA dollhouse furniture. The finish is like a shiny shellac, but has worn well. I would not recommend these to any child prone to put toys in his/her mouth, due to the finish and slightly fragile overall handmade look and feel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Piper416 from Beautiful and Unique!I bought these as a gift for a friend's 4 year old, and she (and her Mom) loved them. They are truly a special and unique selection- just like the little lady I purchased them for! They certainly stand out from the typical toy store doll options.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Sberry123 from Unique Doll House DollsBought about a month ago. I agree with one reviewer that they are poorly painted. In fact I kept that in mind before purchasing. I still wanted them, expecting blemishes. Theres one doll in particular that makes me laugh it's painted so bad. NOT worth the price (tech difficulties with gift card I tried to use), but unique and quirky and will be well used and cherished for what they are.

Rated 1 out of 5 by starhill from super BUMMED! :(The dolls looked awesome on line, but in person, they are poorly done. Painting is sloppy and face parts painted incorrectly compared to website image. Customer service is happy to take the return, but sadly, this is one of the awesome stocking stuffers I counted on for my daughter this year.

Rated 1 out of 5 by sodisappointing from beautiful idea, very poor executionI am returning these, because the figures I received are only a rough approximation of the beautiful little dolls that you see online, and are of really surprisingly poor quality. Like the other reviewer who actually received these, I found hair and dirt painted into the glaze. I might overlook that, but the faces on the dolls I received are so sloppy and ugly that they would inhibit imaginative play rather than encouraging it. Also, the glaze was applied unevenly and puddled at the bottom of some of the dolls so that they are unstable and fall over when you try to stand them up. I hope that Land of Nod finds a more careful and artistic manufacturer to actually implement the original design.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Kelly1335 from Do Not Buy These Dolls!I purchased the Happy Together Doll Family for my daughter for Christmas. I figured the set would be fun for play and decorative at once. This set has a horrible odor and the dolls appear dirty/dingy as if they need a good wash (not at all as depicted online or in the catalog.) The paint is "gummy" feeling to the touch; almost as if I could leave a fingerprint or impression on the doll if held too tightly. Last but certainly not least, I had to remove a hair that had been painted into one of the dolls. Would not recommend.
