Rated 5 out of 5 by from Moms Rule A perfect and uncomplicated little story about the special relationship between moms and their little bunnies. I remember MY mother reading this to me and had no idea how meaningful it was until I read it for the first time to my own daughter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Omnipresence This classic remained a favorite long after my son "outgrew' picture books. The theme of the omnipresent parent is reassuring to young toddlers and preschoolers as they venture beyond their home to try their wings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can relate I love this sweet tale and I can relate to the mother refusing to let her child get too far away from her. My son loves the illustrations - Margaret Wise Brown and Clement Hurd are a dynamic duo!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from *sigh* i love this book I think I enjoy reading this more than my son enjoys hearing it! It reminds me how deep the mother-child bond is, and I remember my recently departed mother reading this to me when I was a child, so that probably biases my experience... but i feel like it is beautiful. i also enjoy the illustrations. The only drawback to this book is that I had to explain to my 2 year old what it means to run away....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We read this one all the time! A charming tale about a mother's love for her little bunny who wants to run away. Beautiful, imaginative illustrations with lots to notice and discuss. My daughter laughs at (and frequently quotes) the bunny's words to his mama on the last page.
