The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt
Poor Duncan just wants to color. But when he opens his box of crayons, he finds only letters, all saying the same thing: His crayons have had enough! They quit! Beige Crayon is tired of playing second fiddle to Brown Crayon. Black wants to be used for more than just outlining. Blue needs a break from coloring all those bodies of water. And Orange and Yellow are no longer speaking—each believes he is the true color of the sun.
What can Duncan possibly do to appease all of the crayons and get them back to doing what they do best?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anderbabies from "Ticked Pink" :)We LOVE this book!!! Tells all about the color "friends" and their different personalities. As I read it for the first time we were "tickled pink" and has since become one of our favorite books which we read on a nightly basis.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jnnfranne from Best children's book ever!Such a fun idea with spot on execution in both writing and illustration! My husband and I enjoy reading it as much as our kids do! And we all reference it often now when we're talking about any certain color. It has given each color a personality that sticks. So fun! (We love it so much I have given it for 7 birthday gifts, and counting).
