Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic The VR is definitely a classic. We grew up listening to a cassette tape recording of it, and I remember fondly getting stuffed rabbits in stockings for Christmas. We've continued the tradition and love of the Velveteen Rabbit with our own kids. I find it to be a very soothing story to read.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good book This book is very bittersweet and was one of the first books my son has read with me that was very sad and touching. As an adult I still tear up when reading this book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Tale This story is wonderful and I love this copy of the Velveteen Rabbit because it's the same one I had as a child. What a treat to now share it with my own children!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My All Time Favorite Children's Book I love this story and the original illustrations. It was my favorite growing up, and is still my favorite to this day. It conjures up memories of well-loved, well-worn toys. Toys that are so loved that they become real. The book is all about being loved so much, it doesn't matter what you look like or if you grow old. It's the love that makes you real. So good.
