Rated 5 out of 5 by from a rug that educates I bought this rug for our playroom. I was worried it would be too "boy" but my girls love it. It's so soft, the colors are bold and classic, and it just looks great in the room! I learned we've got some real work to do on our geography knowledge, but this rug should help us get there!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, colorful rug! We love this rug. It's bright, cheerful, and goes great in a bedroom or playroom. I read the reviews about the geography not being completely accurate, well... go buy a map. I don't think the original intent of this rug was to be the center of a geography curriculum. It's a great starting point for our two-year-old to learn the basics of the United States. We'll save the lesson of the complex state lines of Maryland for school. :-) Until then, we'll enjoy this fun rug for jumping, rolling, tumbling, and general entertainment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can't wait to drive cross country I love this rug. The bright colors look great in my baby boy's room and it gives him something fun to look at from his crib. The rug is soft enough to put him down to play on now and I look forward to playing with toy cars and trucks on it one day and driving them cross country. My one complaint is that we live in Maryland and because of Maryland's weird shape it is not printed very clearly on the rug. Its borders are wrong and it's actually two different colors. The other states are clear and we'll definitely be able to learn their shapes from the rug one day, but we'll have to learn about Maryland on another map.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun for a boy who loves maps Our 5 yo son who is obsessed with maps, loves this rug. It is not totally accurate but is still a lovely plush rug.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fun, but Super-Inaccurate I so wanted to love this rug--as a teacher and mom of two kids whose dad travels a lot, it would have been perfect for us. It's bright, colorful, and fun, and a great fit for anyone looking for a whimsical rug. This map has too many inaccuracies to be useful for even a casual geography lesson though. Several states are rendered in two colors instead of just one, including Virginia, New York, Michigan, Maryland, and Florida. I can't see explaining to my kids how the Upper Peninsula, the Keys, or Long Island became their own states. The shapes of several states got pretty deformed, too. I feel for the mom in Maryland, and, as a Virginian, I noticed that we lost our Eastern Shore, and a big chunk of the western part of our state got drawn into Kentucky. Again, it's plush, colorful, and high quality, but if you're looking for a learning experience for your kids, look elsewhere.
