 Overview

We like to think of this stand as TBSWELOEO (which stands for "The Best Stand We've Ever Laid Our Eyes On"). It's multipurpose, so kids can use it for selling lemonade, making puppet shows and more. It even has a reversible chalkboard/whiteboard sign so kids can write their own titles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So many uses and encourages purposeful play We bought this for our 3 year old's birthday, knowing that 5 year old big sis would enjoy it as well.  The design is very well done and thought through and the workmanship on the curtains and banners is made to last.  From the chalkboard elements, to the cubbies on the one side to the interchangeable signs and "make your own" signs as well, it can do so many things.  I would agree that it is a bit tippy so would encourage next year's remodel to widen the base and the counter by at least 4 inches.  Perhaps a hinged piece in back that would/could fold out for added stability.  When we used it for a Lemonade Stand in front of our house we needed to stabilize it with a cinder block.  I contemplated buying this one for a few months thinking while the design and conept was spot on it was a bit pricey and how long would my girls really be interested in it.  But I know think it was worth every penny and the workmanship is lasting so once we are done we can easily resell it to another family for many more years of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stand for Kids play This will be used in a 3-year-old preschool classroom.  We are very excited to start the year with this wonderful piece.  The kids will have fun pretending, it will be used for puppet stories, and many other fun activities.  Assembly was okay, definitely helpful to have a second pair of hands.  The piece seems to be sturdy enough for what I will use it for, my "helpers" tried pushing and bumping it to see if it would be tippy and it passed the test, needs a pretty hard push to topple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Delightful, Multipurpose Stand! This was the big gift from Mom and Dad for my daughter's 3rd birthday and it was a huge hit. I had already purchased a market stand that was half the price of this stand when I flipped through the Land of Nod catalog and saw this and my mouth dropped open. I like the very well-made interchangeable toppers, curtains and banners which lend to a number of other creative and open-ended play opportunities.Assembly was fairly straightforward and took around 30 minutes (I would recommend two adults to accomplish it expeditiously). The size is great for my 3 year old and it's something that I think she will continue to play with for some years to come. You could tuck this stand in a corner or flat against a wall so its footprint is not enormous which to me is a good thing. The chalkboard on the front is a working chalkboard unlike some products these days where the chalkboards seem to be made of plastic and are unresponsive to actual chalk. My only concern about this product is that the stand seems like it could tip if pushed roughly. I tested it by trying to tip it and it would definitely need a very rough push to tip as otherwise it just rocks back and forth on the base and recovers, but it could be a potential concern for children who are rough with their things. My daughter is very responsible with her toys and I am confident it won't be an issue for her but it's something I will monitor if other kids are playing with it.Overall, I really like this product. It's a bit pricey but I don't see another multipurpose stand product on the market that is both very attractive and well-made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The grocery stand. My parents bought this for my 3 year old daughter for her birthday and she absolutely loves it.  My older 9 year old daughter plays with her and they have a great time.  Love it!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very versatile My grandson just loves it.  He always plays with it each and every time someone comes over for a playdate.  They play market, put on puppet shows and find lots of ways to use the stand.  It was a great investment for years to come.  It is rated for young kids but I believe that it will be used for many years.  If someone has several little ones it would be a great investment early on and be passed down over and over.  It is built well so that it will stand up to many years of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite toy! I bought this for my 2 year old and he plays with it every day! It's great quality and so cute, worth every penny. I also have a 5 year old boy that loves it as well. They do puppet shows and play market and their favorite is to use it as an ice cream stand. Highly recommend this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly TBSWELOEO! This multi-purpose stand lives up to its catalog description as "The Best Stand We've Ever Laid Our Eyes On." My two great-nieces and their friends have spent countless hours creating puppet shows, selling lemonade and fresh veggies from the garden, and dreaming up other, less expected ways to utilize the stand (such as fortune-telling!) I am very pleased that I purchased this item for them. They simply adore it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So Many Ways to Play This was the big gift from us to our 5 and 7 year old. They've been so into imaginative play lately that this was a total hit! The chalkboard gets lots of action and we've seen a few puppet shows, more to come, I'm sure. The 7-year-old even made $5 selling lemonade to her uncles and aunts!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Broke in first week We were so sad! We bought this for a Sunday school class at church, and it was adorable! The kids loved it, but several pieces broke within the first few days. It's too large to bother with returning it, so we're forced to try to fix it ourselves. One of the reasons we went with the wood over the fabric one was durability, so it was more than disappointing that it didn't live up to its reputation.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from LOVE the idea of this, but lacks quality We've owned this stand for half a year and have several issues with it. First, I must say that my kids get really creative when they play with this, so that I love! However, when we received it, the signs had to be replaced because they were too big to fit in the slots. True to LON customer service, they sent us replacements that work great. NOW we have another issue. One of the legs that balance the stand won't stay in place and the scews no longer work- you can just pull the leg out of the stand with the crews in it:(. It's very topsy turvy and I worry about it toppling over on my young children. One more thing to note, My son was not quite 4 when I purchased this for him and he was already too tall to stand behind the stand and see out. My 3 year old daughter is a good height to enjoy it for a bit longer. I suppose I should contact customer service about the leg/screw issue!
