Bedtime Buddy Night Light (Rainbow) is rated 1.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by zipperkt from Cute!I bought this after a long time of looking at it because I love rainbows. There were two main surprises: I was expecting a nightlight that plugged in, but this actually runs on batteries and sits on a surface. Also, it is made out of glass, so it is somewhat fragile. Maybe I missed those details in the fine print somewhere. A bonus-- batteries were included.

HOWEVER, the product description doesn't tell you that this thing take three button batteries, and is such a power hog that you have to change them approximately once a month. So we spend ~$10 a month just on batteries for this one night light. The kid loves it, so you do it, but man, I wish I had known how much juice this thing needs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Angelbel from Worst night light ever.I didn't think it was possible to dislike a simple nightlight so much. I wish I had paid more attention to the reviews. Basically, it arrived with three weird little batteries stacked on each other like watch batteries and they immediately failed. Had to break the bottom to get in a fox it to come back on. Poor lighting that basically died over the course of the night. Seriously, the worst engineering for what could've and should've been a tiny bulb with a plugin or a AA or AAA battery requirement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by winnie61 from Adorable, but junkyWhen this arrived, we thought it was broken because the light had come out of the bottom. I would have returned it, but my daughter loves it so I figured we would use it as long as it lasts. The piece that has the battery and light bulb falls out EVERY time we pick it up to turn it on. Also, it takes 3 tiny batteries (like watch batteries), which I'm sure will be a gigantic hassle to replace (it does come with 3 to start).

Rated 1 out of 5 by kirstiem from Adorable, but batteries die really quicklyWe were searching all over for a cute nightlight for our daughter's room and wanted one that had an auto shut-off feature. The Bedtime Buddy Nightlight seemed like the perfect fit. Unfortunately, the light became much dimmer after only a couple of weeks of use (for only two hours each night). Within three weeks, the batteries were completely dead.Hoping the batteries that came with the nightlight were just defective, we shelled out about $8 for the three required replacement batteries (AG13 watch batteries) and hoped for the best. Again, in no time the light was barely lit. And after no more than three weeks, the batteries were dead.As much as we loved the look of this light, we took it to the store today. The associate who helped us said she was aware that there had been quite a problem with these lights, so clearly we didn't just get a defective one.We wound up exchanging it for the Gummy Bear Nightlight, which gets five-star reviews. It also has an auto shut-off feature (one hour instead of two) and takes two AA batteries. We have some rechargeable AAs, so even if the batteries die quickly we can just recharge instead of having to buy batteries over and over.

Rated 1 out of 5 by shanala from Faulty light and crackedSo disappointed - something is wrong with the light itself, the light will be bright for 2-3 days and then starts to get significantly dimmer until it's so low you can barely tell it's on. Replaced the batteries and it happened again. Also, I picked it up and realized that the corner looks like it was chipped and broken but put back together... it wasn't noticeable until I picked it up and looked closely while the light was bright. This item is way to expensive for what it is to not work in the only capacity it is supposed to work.
