At The Land of Nod, nothing is more important to us than providing safe, high-quality products to you and your family. We believe that kids’ products should be able to handle everything kids throw their way (literally and figuratively). That’s why all of our products have an 18-year quality guarantee. And, hopefully, your kids will no longer be sleeping in bunk beds by then.

Non-Furniture Return/Exchange Policy

We will accept returns and exchanges of non-furniture items if:

  • Non-furniture items are returned within 90 days of customer receipt.
  • A valid proof of purchase is provided (see below)
  • Non-furniture items are returned in good condition — Unused and unwashed.

If you discover an item has a manufacturer’s defect or was damaged during transit, we will accept the item for return or exchange with proof of purchase. Without proof of purchase, the item can be exchanged only for the same item. A valid photo ID is required.

We are unable to accept any items for return or exchange without proof of purchase. Items purchased as final sale cannot be returned, exchanged or repaired.

Proof of Purchase for Eligible Items

Proof of purchase is required to issue an appropriate exchange, credit or refund for eligible items, as well as any taxes due to be refunded in accordance with applicable state law. For you convenience, we will accept the following as proof of your purchase.

  • Original Paper Receipt
  • Gift Receipt
  • eReceipt
  • Original Packing Slip
  • Gift Packing Slip
  • Order Number
  • Gift Registry Number

We can also verify proof of purchase by looking up your original receipt using your Crate and Barrel Credit Card or major credit card used at the time of purchase, or the email address used to receive an eReceipt.

Parcel Returns and Exchanges*

To return (or exchange) your purchase, just complete the returns portion of your packing slip, securely package your return, and send it back to us using one of these options:

  • Purchase shipping via a traceable method with the shipper of your choice. If needed, you may use the address label from your packing slip to ensure it arrives at the correct location.
  • Purchase a return label from our Customer Service Team. The cost for a return label is based on our shipping & handling rate chart shown below plus any additional charges for bulkier and heavier items. The return shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. For exchanges, the item you receive in exchange will ship for free.

Within 90 days, refunds will be issued in the original form of payment for the original purchase price once the item(s) are received and processed. After 90 days, your refund will be in the form of a merchandise credit. Your original shipping fee is not refundable.

Exchanges will be issued for the original purchase price. Your exchanged item(s) will ship for free.

Please note: Shop Cards, Gift Cards and eGift Cards are valid for Crate and Barrel, CB2 and The Land of Nod purchases and are not redeemable or subject to exchange for cash or a cash equivalent, except as required by applicable law.

Returning or Exchanging Items Delivered by Freight

Within 90 days, refunds will be issued in the original form of payment for the original purchase price once the item(s) are received and processed. After 90 days, your refund will be in the form of a merchandise credit. Your original shipping fee is refundable.

Free Returns on All Items Delivered by Freight

Think of it as a no-risk furniture purchase. If you are not satisfied with your furniture order, we will schedule a pick-up at absolutely no cost to you. Not only that, we’ll even issue you a refund for your original shipping charges. No need to thank us. Although, some cookies would be nice.

Returning or Exchanging Custom Upholstery

Because our stock-plus upholstery items are custom made to your specifications, we cannot accept returns on made-to-order items. If you have questions regarding our custom-made, stock-plus upholstery collection, please call us at (800) 933-9904 and ask to speak with a Furniture Team Specialist.

Proof of purchase is required to issue an appropriate exchange, credit or refund for eligible items, as well as any taxes due to be refunded in accordance with applicable state law. For you convenience, we will accept the following as proof of your purchase.

What’s in store for you, should you want to return items at one of our stores? Within 90 days, items with proof of purchase will be refunded to the original form of payment; cash and check returns over $100 will be refunded by mail check. Items with an original gift receipt will be refunded for the full purchase price as a merchandise credit. Items over 90 days will receive a merchandise credit for the item’s current retail price, proof of purchase and a valid photo ID are required.

To return or exchange eligible items at a store, please bring the items and proof of purchase within 90 days to the store brand where the purchase originated (i.e., Crate and Barrel items can only be returned to a Crate and Barrel store; Crate and Barrel Outlet items can only be returned to a Crate and Barrel Outlet; CB2 items can only be returned to a CB2 store; and The Land of Nod items can only be returned to a The Land of Nod store).

Personalized Items are not returnable.

Items purchased at one of our stores (excluding the Outlet), landofnod.com, or by phone may be returned to one of our stores.

Furniture items are returned to our warehouse directly. If furniture was purchased at a store, please contact the store to facilitate the return. If furniture was purchased at landofnod.com or by phone, please call 800.933.9904 and ask to speak to a Furniture Specialist to facilitate the return. Refunds will happen after furniture is returned and inspected at our warehouse.

We will accept returns and exchanges of non-furniture items within 90 days of purchase with a valid proof of purchase and items are returned in good condition (unused and unwashed). The Land of Nod Outlet is unable to accept returns from retail stores, landofnod.com or the catalog. Retail stores are unable to accept Outlet returns.

There is no charge for return shipping. Contact customerservice@landofnod.com for a prepaid shipping label for return of Gift Registry items.

The Land of Nod is not responsible for any damages or loss incurred once a 3rd party delivery company receives the product on behalf of the customer. Once the 3rd Party has accepted delivery, The Land of Nod will not accept returns for items that are damaged or loss. If using a 3rd party shipping company they are responsible for inspecting the condition of goods prior to accepting.
